Gary Noble and daughters, Bethia & Olivia, at Walthamstow Stadium with Special Duke
Name: Gary Noble
Age: 51
Current Position/Interest in the sport: Owner, Breeder, Racegoer, Enthusiast and Punter.
Background in the sport: Firstly as Interested young boy, then as regular racegoer and punter, then owner, then breeder, then bookmaker and now as full‐time punter, owner and breeder.
Local Track: Not local, but track I attend the most is currently Henlow.
Favourite Track: Both no longer in existence, Hackney and Walthamstow. Currently Hove.
How did you get involved & how long have you been involved in greyhound racing: My introduction to the sport was as a 6 year old boy being taken by my father to Clapton Stadium, I cant recall any exact details of my first time at the dogs, but the atmosphere and magic must have got to me as I've been interested in greyhound racing for as long as I can remember.
Favourite dog: Staplers Jo, Scurlogue Champ and the peerless Ballyregan Bob.
Current dogs owned: Too many to mention!
Best moment in Greyhound Racing: Special Trick winning the Category 1 Grand Prix at Walthamstow in 2003 , I bred and part‐owned him.
How can greyhound racing be improved and what, in your opinion, are its main problems: Marketing this great product properly will have the knock on effect of generating more money into the sport asnd solving most of the problems, along with the sports ruling body the GBGB being more responsive to the needs of its core element.
Why did you join GOBATA: Hopefully to be part of an organisation that turns this sport round into the great entertainment experience that it deserves to be.
