MEADOW BANK OWL became the third entry to be withdrawn from the William Hill Derby at Wimbledon when Barrie Draper pulled the dog out (lame) at 10.05am today, leaving heat 18 on Saturday a five-runner affair.

While the trainer is disappointed to pass up the chance with the Owl he will still have a sound chance of getting a qualifier through from this heat. He is still represented here by a certain Eden Star, winner of the Puppy Derby over the course and distance last year and just about every other major juvenile event going!
